In 2022, a total of 36,913 belongings were forgotten in Istanbul's metro and trams. The most forgotten item was Istanbulcard. Throughout the year, 15,895 Istanbulcards were forgotten on the metro and trams. After Istanbulkart, the most forgotten item was ID with 5,010 items.

In 2022, 36,913 belongings were forgotten in 17 lines operated by Metro Istanbul, one of the affiliate companies of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). According to the information received from Metro Istanbul lost property offices; The item most forgotten by Istanbulites was Istanbulkart. A total of 15,895 Istanbulcards were forgotten in the metro and trams.

After Istanbulkart, ID was the most forgotten item with 5,010 times. 2,914 passengers forgot their wallets, 507 passengers forgot their clothing, 461 passengers forgot their mobile phones in the metro and trams. Dentures, baby carriages, sandbags, children's bicycles, melodica, PC screen, license plate, cookware, workplace sign and market cart were among those delivered to the lost and found offices of Metro Istanbul after being forgotten in the stations and vehicles.

6.676 items were delivered to their owners
6,676 of 36,913 items forgotten throughout the year were delivered to their owners. Items forgotten on the rail system lines operated by Metro Istanbul are sent to the lost and found offices on the same day and archived in digital environment. Istanbul residents who forget their belongings should call ALO 153 call centre or contact the staff at the stations. After confirming that the applicant is the owner of the item, it can be received from the lost and found offices.
